- Schedule a maintenance check – If you haven’t done so already, we recommend scheduling a maintenance check before the celebrations. Maintenance checks help prevent issues and identify any constraints before they become a serious problem.
- Double-check the weight limit – When using your residential lift or elevator to move decorations, storage boxes, groceries, presents, and other items, be sure not to exceed the weight limit. This information can be found in the owner’s manual or if you’re unsure, give us a call and we can help you out.
- Set ground rules with your guests – Having a home elevator or lift is an exciting feature, especially with young children. Be sure to let your guests know that it’s not a toy and to limit its use only for when it is absolutely necessary. Children should be accompanied by an adult when using the elevator.
- Keep the elevator or lift clean and dry – The winter months can track more moisture and debris indoors with snow, ice, salt, and sand. Be sure to remove any moisture from the elevator or lift and keep it as clean as possible.
